Western Engineering has patented Westernchain: a system for automating energy exchanges between prosumers, producers and consumers of energy within a renewable energy community and aimed at maximizing collective self-consumption with a monitoring and accounting portal based on blockchain technology.

With the Westernchain algorithm, all energy flows are automated, guaranteeing the maximum collective self-consumption and, therefore, the maximum obtainable incentive.

The specifically designed web portal allows you to manage the exchange of energy between users and to monitor the amount of collectively self-consumed energy.

A report with data and performance of the energy community for any reference period can be easily downloaded in both PDF and CSV format.

In the portal you can reach to the detail level of the single system. Here the community contact person will be able to analyze the different electrical quantities over time (grid, battery, PV and consumption) and view the total energy produced / fed-in/ absorbed from the system.

Furthermore, thanks to the e-mail notifications, the community contact person is constantly updated on the status of the systems and communities: weekly and monthly reports, reports on the operation of the communities, alerts in case of tampering of the systems are available.
